oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya jñānāñjana-śalākayā cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ

[I offer my respectful obeisances unto my spiritual master, who with the torchlight of knowledge has opened my eyes, which were blinded by the darkness of ignorance.]

śrī-caitanya-mano-'bhīṣṭaṁ sthāpitaṁ yena bhū-tale svayaṁ rūpaḥ kadā mahyaṁ dadāti sva-padāntikam

[When will Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī Prabhupāda, who has established within this material world the mission to fulfill the desire of Lord Caitanya, give me shelter under his lotus feet?]

he kṛṣṇa karuṇā-sindho dīna-bandho jagat-pate gopeśa gopikā-kānta rādhā-kānta namo 'stu te

[O my dear Kṛṣṇa, ocean of mercy, You are the friend of the distressed and the source of creation. You are the master of the cowherdmen and the lover of the gopīs, especially Rādhārāṇī. I offer my respectful obeisances unto You.]

tapta-kāñcana-gaurāṅgi rādhe vṛndāvaneśvari vṛṣabhānu-sute devi praṇamāmi hari-priye

[I offer my respects to Rādhārāṇī, whose bodily complexion is like molten gold and who is the Queen of Vṛndāvana. You are the daughter of King Vṛṣabhānu, and You are very dear to Lord Kṛṣṇa.]

vāñchā-kalpatarubhyaś ca kṛpā-sindhubhya eva ca patitānāṁ pāvanebhyo vaiṣṇavebhyo namo namaḥ

[I offer my respectful obeisances unto all the Vaiṣṇava devotees of the Lord. They can fulfill the desires of everyone, just like desire trees, and they are full of compassion for the fallen souls.]

tad-vāg-visargo janatāgha-viplavo yasmin prati-ślokam abaddhavaty api nāmāny anantasya yaśo 'ṅkitāni yat śṛṇvanti gāyanti gṛṇanti sādhavaḥ [SB 1.5.11]

前幾天我們討論過，從文學角度看，有些作品詩意優美、修辭華麗，但若沒有描述絕對真理或至尊人格神首，就只會吸引像烏鴉那樣的人欣賞。我們已經談過，這只是浪費人類寶貴生命的時間，把注意力轉向這種普通文學。它們被稱為 grāmya-kathā——世俗故事。那些書、詩、小說、戲劇，講的都是英雄美女的愛情故事、悲劇、喜劇等等。其實不過是我們每天體驗的 āhāra-nidrā-bhaya-maithunam——吃睡交配防禦而已。這種文學有什麼價值？只會激動心神。如果是色情文學，就特別吸引人。這就像往火裡添燃料，火燒得更旺，卻永遠得不到平靜。我們真正想要的是什麼？人生的目標是什麼？我們追求的是 śānti——內心的平和。但這種文學不會帶來平和，只會讓心神更不安。

那些 paramahaṁsas——已經領悟宇宙實相的人——對這種文學毫無興趣。相反，經文說 tad-vāg-visargo janatāgha-viplavaḥ。Śrīdhara Svāmī 註釋說，即使沒有詩的韻律、比喻、修飾，只要以主的榮耀為主（bhagavad-yaśaḥ-pradhānam），就能帶來革命。

就像我們吟唱 Hare Kṛṣṇa，我們沒有教學生音樂知識或舞蹈技巧——「要這樣唱、那樣跳」。沒有任何音樂或詩的訓練，即使小孩子也能參與，立刻進入狂喜狀態。為什麼？因為我們在吟唱主的榮耀。不需要人工技巧，自然就會唱、就會跳。這就是因為有主的榮耀。

Parīkṣit Mahārāja 聽 Śukadeva Gosvāmī 講《聖典博伽瓦譚》時，分享他的體驗：uttama-śloka-guṇānuvādāt——吟唱至尊的榮耀，nivṛtta-tarṣaiḥ upagīyamānāt——已經放下物質慾望的人會吟唱，bhavauṣadhāc chrotra-mano-'bhirāmāt——對一般人來說是治癒輪迴的藥，也讓耳朵和心靈愉悅。ka uttama-śloka-guṇānuvādāt vinā paśughnāt——除了殺動物或自殺的人，誰會不喜歡？

殺動物的人不只指屠夫，也包括不關心自我覺悟的人——他殺了自己，因為人生本該覺悟，卻只追求動物般的享樂。這種人會自殺，因為明知不覺悟會受 māyā 懲罰，卻仍不覺悟。

經文說，即使語言不完美，只要有主的榮耀，聖人就會聽、唱、接受。像我師父看文章，只要多次提到 Krishna、Caitanya，就說：「很好。」因為有主的榮耀。

相反，華麗卻無主的文學，像烏鴉取樂垃圾堆。色情享樂者取樂陰道——像烏鴉。奉獻者像天鵝，取樂清澈湖水、蓮花。世界對一般人充滿問題，對奉獻者卻喜樂無邊，因為一切是 Krishna 的。問題也是 Krishna 的，Krishna 會解決。像 Arjuna，Krishna 說：「我已安排好。」只要真誠，Krishna 會處理。

奉獻者視大人物如蟲子，因為他們的偉大來自 Krishna。yad yad vibhūtimat sattvaṁ tat tad eva mama tejo 'ṁśa-sambhavam。我們尊重所有半神人，但不視他們為至尊。

這些是 Caitanya 主的慈悲。只要祂一點慈悲，我們就能讚美祂。

要取悅 Krishna，就傳播 Krishna 意識。Nārada 對 Vyāsadeva 說：yathā dharmādayaś cārthā muni-varyānukīrtitaḥ——你詳細描述宗教、經濟、享樂、解脫，na tathā vāsudevasya mahimā hy anuvarṇitaḥ——卻沒詳細描述 Vāsudeva 的榮耀。雖然《博伽梵歌》說 vāsudevaḥ sarvam iti，但你還沒充分描述。
