Those who drink through aural reception, fully filled with the nectarean message of Lord Kṛṣṇa, the beloved of the devotees, purify the polluted aim of life known as material enjoyment and thus go back to Godhead, to the lotus feet of Him [the Personality of Godhead].
These verses from Canto 2 highlight the supreme value of inquiring about Kṛṣṇa (2.1.1), the universal efficacy of chanting the holy names of Hari (2.1.11), and the purifying power of hearing the nectarean kathā (topics) of the Lord, leading one back to His lotus feet (2.2.37). They underscore the centrality of bhakti through hearing and chanting in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.
